Professional Genealogy & Family History Research

by Joe Beine

Due to a backlog of projects, I am unable to take on new clients at this time. You may enjoy visiting my companion websites, German Roots: German Genealogy Resources, or Online Death Records, Indexes and Obituaries, a directory of U.S. death indexes on the Internet. I also write the Genealogy Roots Blog - For Finding Online Genealogy Records and Resources, which you might find useful.

If you are looking to hire a professional genealogist you might try the ProGenealogists Group in Utah - they have access to the Family History Library. Or you might try searching the directory of the Association of Professional Genealogists.

If you are looking for blank genealogy forms you can find some here: free printable blank genealogy charts and forms.

Photograph of Elisabeth and John Nelke, my great grandparents, 1910 Welcome to GeneSearch. I am a professional genealogist living in Denver, Colorado. My specialized research areas are the USA and Germany with emphasis on vital records, census records, ship passenger lists, National Archives research, naturalizations and church books. I have more than 9 years experience as a professional genealogist and nearly 20 years experience as a genealogy researcher.

For basic research I charge by the hour plus expenses. See my genealogy price list for more information. Should you decide to hire me I will do a review of your family information or particular problem area, followed by a survey of available records. You may be asked to fill out some basic forms and return them to me. You may send computer printed forms if you have a genealogy software program. I work very well sending and receiving information by email. You set a limit on the amount of research time you would like done. You may prepay or send an agreed upon retainer before I begin searching. Many people renew their retainer as they receive reports on an ongoing basis.

You will be provided with reports and photocopies of records searched. If you'd like I can also add your family to a computer database and email the results (or send you a disk) in standard Gedcom format. If you already have some of your family tree in a genealogy program you can send me your Gedcom and I can make additions to it.
